From Monday 20 April, for five consecutive nights, Burnt Ash Lane will be closed between the junctions of Plaistow Lane and New Street Hill/Kynaston Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 on each night. Local signed diversions will be in place for motorists.

The work will be undertaken in three phases:

Phase 1: Plaistow Lane to Lake Avenue.

Phase 2: Lake Avenue to Gladwell Road

Phase 3 :Gladwell Road to Kynaston Road

Residents should please allow additional time for their journeys during the work periods. Riney, the contractor, will have traffic management operatives on site to liaise with the public. However, there will usually be a delay for vehicle access during the works, due to machinery and material cooling (sometimes up to 30 minutes delay).

These works have been programmed to be done overnight due to the impact of the disruption.

Bus diversions will be in place, on the following routes:

Routes 126 and 261 towards Bromley or Princess Royal Hospital

From Baring Road at the junction of Downham Way will divert via right Downham Way, left Bromley Road, ahead Bromley Hill, ahead London Road, left Tweedy Road to line of route.

Routes 126 and 261 towards Eltham or Lewisham

From West Street at the junction of Tweedy Road will divert via left Tweedy Road, right London Road, left Old Bromley Road, ahead Downham Way, left Baring Road to line of route.

Route 336 towards Catford

From West Street at the junction of Tweedy Road will divert via left Tweedy Road, right London Road, left Old Bromley Road, ahead Downham Way to line of route.

Route 336 towards Locksbottom

From Downham Way at Rangefield Road, ahead Downham Way, left Bromley Road, ahead Bromley Hill, ahead London Road, left Tweedy Road to line of route.
